Want to learn to learn more about unmanned aviation systems? This class will cover the basics of flying a drone for recreational fun. FM regulations will be covered along with the various uses for drones. A goal for this class is to determine if there is enough local interest to start a flying organization in Fairmont and surrounding communities. This class will run for three 2-hour sessions.
Session # l – The history of unmanned aviation systems and current uses will be
covered in this session.
Session #2 – FAA regulations and licensure will be the topics for this session.
Session #3 – Students will get actual flight experience and discussion will take place on how to create a flying organization in your area.
The career pathway for unmanned aviation systems is a unit that is studied in the Principles of Flight class at FHS. This seminar is for ages 13 & up. Class limit is 10 students/seminar.
