Seats for Sims Fundraiser

We’re excited to announce “Seats for Sims,” a unique fundraising event that supports Big Ideas’ new mobile learning lab while teaching you about the upholstery trade!

As you may know, the chairs at Lola – An American Bistro have seen better days. But instead of discarding them and buying new ones, we had a big idea: why not teach people how to reupholster the chairs and give them a second life? With the help of United Commercial Upholstery, we can do just that.

You’ll have the chance to learn from upholstery experts and save Lola’s chairs from the landfill. For every chair seat that gets recovered, Lola will donate $20 to Big Ideas. When you finish your chair, you’ll get to sign the bottom and claim it as your own (well, sort of). Next time you visit Lola, you can sit in your chair and show your skills to your friends.

“Seats for Sims” is more than just a fundraiser. It’s an opportunity to learn a valuable skill. This is your chance to learn from the best while doing good for the community.
