#BuiltNotBought is a video contest showcasing the skills of youth across Minnesota. Open to anyone age 13 and up.

The theme of 2021 is: What the function?

Send in a video of you building a functional item that you could have bought instead. It can be anything from a birdhouse to a toolbox!

Video clips must be 3 minutes maximum.

Proper safety procedures MUST be followed. Improper use of tools or lack of Personal Protective Equipment will result in disqualification.

We encourage you to involve your friends and family in the video-making process, but the build must be your own.

Make sure to include to include your name, age and how you came up with the idea.

Make sure to give us your best work, you never know who could see this.
